Happy Friday from holistic health consulting!

I have noticed that many of my patients have had a bit of a challenging week. Many of them seem to be bogged down with their internal processing, a little introspective, and a bit pensive.

Today I offer my compassion and my empathy to all of you wonderful human beings, so committed to your authentic journeys.

Tomorrow night is the New Moon, in Virgo ( FYI @ 19:11 PDT).

I Wonder if we will all feel a little more at peace following the new moon tomorrow.

The new moon represents a new beginning, a fresh start. I like to make mini-resolutions, more like mini-goals, or self-care wishes, on the new moon.

This month I am focusing on my core strength. I am strengthening my body, so that I can support myself with ease.

Is there anything you would like to focus on in the next month?

I encourage your willingness to share, you may inspire someone by sharing the truth of your journey.

Blue Moon!

This is a little loving reminder from holistic health consulting that today is a very special day. Tonight’s full moon is the second full moon to occur in August.  This is a rare occurrence called a Blue Moon.

We at hhc are sending you a loving reminder to be gentle and compassionate with yourself today, it may feel like there is a lot going on.

We encourage you to take a deep, slow breath, and make a little time to connect with yourself. It may be helpful to affirm what you are grateful for.

Today’s hhc affirmation: I am grateful for the perfection of now.

 

Self-Care, letting go with faith that there is more.

The other day I was going through some cupboards and realizing I had a lot of things at the back of my pantry. Some of these items I have had for quite a while, I mean quite a while. I took a deep breath and then I asked myself: “Why am I holding onto them, rather than using them?” Another deep breath: “Aha!” And then it became clear to me, I am saving them.

But what am I saving them for?

I have noticed this characteristic more in people who have experienced ‘not enough’, but then again accumulating is something our culture seems to place value on. Regardless of the reason, perhaps you too have some dark corners in your pantry or closets where you may be accumulating and/or stagnating a bit.

Accumulating things that I am hesitant to use has led me to question myself: Is right now not a good-enough time to use the things I have? The answer to this question for me, is that now is a good enough time, and I do not need to accumulate things. It is safe for me to use what I have now. It is safe to use what I have now, joyfully! There is always more for me. I am noticing when we take excellent care of now, the future feels brighter, more joyful and secure.

So to anyone who is looking to clear their space, and or bring more ease into their lives maybe give this affirmation and pantry/closet clearing activity a whirl.

Today’s hhc affirmation: There will always be opportunities for me. It is safe to use and share what I have. I release. I relax. I let go. There is always more for me.

Affirming self-acceptance

What if you are good enough, good enough exactly as you are? What if you allowed for the possibility that you are Awesome!? What if you could find more joy in each moment? What if you shared more positively affirming self talk with your awesome self?  What if you told yourself that you love and accept yourself, that you are proud of yourself, and that you are both: very loved, and very lovable?

hhc suspects that you would feel even more awesome, and do even more awesome for yourself, and others, if you learned and practiced new ways to demonstrate self love and self –acceptance.

The combination of mindful breath and focused, positively affirming self-talk can be very helpful in improving both our conscious and subconscious self-talk.

You can find a statement to use as an affirmation from anywhere: an inspiring post on the internet, a book you find interesting, a mentor’s words, or even something that you design, with feeling good in mind. Once you find a statement that is positive, and feels good, hhc recommends that you pause, focus your attention on slow, deep breaths, and then affirm your positive statement, either aloud or inside your mind. You can and will learn to trust your cells to hear and respond to your positive words.
